The cod is a species of Gadiformes. This sea schooling fish with a greenish-brown speckled back and white belly has three dorsals and a small barb on the chin. The white firm cod meat is also valued for its complete protein with a full set of amino acids. It has a low calorific value and saturates the body with the mass of useful substances.
