Capelin is a sea fish of the smelt family with fine scales and teeth. One of the main advantages of capelin meat is its high content of highly digestible proteins and low content of connective tissues that not only increase the nutritional value but also speed up the process of cooking. The capelin contains more vitamins A, B12, and D than meat, and it is also high in Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids.
