There are spots resembling the outline of the letter X on the body of Atlantic salmon above the lateral line. This is a very tasty and wholesome fish. Its meat contains many vitamins and minerals: calcium, potassium, sodium, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, iodine, fluorine, vitamins D, A and B. Atlantic salmon is rich in protein and packs more calories than white fish. Salmon is high in Omega-3 fatty acids, which have a positive effect on the human cardiovascular system
